Heya guys! Hmmm... I think 10th Feb sounds good. Cos me and Guoren haven't confirmed whether we'd be free on the 3rd. We have Raffles Rock meeting, the time I'm not sure of, and we may have auds for talentime or something. So I think 10th would be better!
Haha. Well, time to tell you guys about my new year. Spent most of it with my dad's side relatives in Jurong, only went to visit my mom's side for a day, cos they stay all the way at Tampines. Played lots of games at my grandma's house including Mahjong and a card game called Jim Rummy. Hmmm... In total I lost $4 bucks, but well it was fun.
Warning. Do not gamble Mahjong with me. I won about $8 bucks on Mahjong, but went on to lose about $12 at Jim Rummy. Haha. Too bad. Jim Rummy is super tough, cos its played with 3-4 decks + the jokers shuffled together and you either lose big or win big. In this case I lost big. I can teach you guys if you wanna try playing. I'll write down the basic rules for all those card enthusiasts out there who want to try! Its a super multiplayer game so everyone can play!
1. Give out an odd number of cards to each person, either 13 or 15
2. Open up the next card after finishing distribution
3. Person to the right of the dealer starts
4. The aim of the game is to throw one card and either draw or exchange a card (Just like Bloody Knuckles)
5. But you have to form 4 consecutive cards or more instead. Example: 3, 4, 5, 6 of same suit
6. Thats called a 'passport'
7. Once you have a passport you use one of your turns to place it on the floor.
8. After that you can form either 3 or more consecutive cards of the same suit, or 3 or more of the same card of different suits
9. The first person to finish his/her hand wins
10. Joker is any card you want, but if you want to make a passport with it, you have to have 5 instead of 4 consecutive cards
11. Theres a special case in which all your cards are either totally black or red. In that case, you win immediately
12. Another special case is when all the cards you have form passports, and nobody else has placed their cards on the floor. You win immediately too. Haha.
I know it sounds kinda hard, but I'll explain if you guys want me to. Maybe it'll be our new OG game! Haha. Some rules about paying money... But of course we won't play with money right? Haha. Just for some info...
1. When someone completes his/her hand, everyone else counts their points
2. 10, J, Q, K are all worth 10, the numbers are worth their values and Jokers are worth 20 points
3. Each person pays the difference between himself and the points of another person
4. For example, you get 60 points, I get 10 points. You pay me 50 cents! Yay.
Yup thats all. Have fun playing! I sound like a compulsive gambler now. Haha.
