memo

I love my playlist. I have to say that. I simply adore my playlist now and it's all because of 2 songs. 3 cheers for obscenely unknown norwegian singers!

My comradez and I aer setting up a biking SIG. Look for Chow if you're interested.

anarchy.

I am not so serious.
this Passion is a plagarism.

I am listening to really weird music now -_-

We're settling down nicely into life. That's a good sign. Just a question, has everyone had student development yet? The thing that freaked me out the most was the fact that they said we had sessions. We're going to have more! *gasp* That is a most frightening prospect. I shall blog about it. But not here, cos not everyone agrees with my point of view (surprise, surprise).

My music makes me moody.

Heya! Wow... Uh had another awesome day jamming with Guoren and the other people from my band. We got two songs out of three ready... And it sounded very very very good. Got home at 9:30, but felt super super super good.

Thanks Darren! Yup we're joining Talentime too... Thanks for the info! We'll sign up tomorrow on thursday I guess... Yeah! Bloody knuckles! Wah the people in my class are quite evil. They hit super super hard. Luckily I didn't get his the most. Some guy called Azrin got his 28 times hard in one go. Ouch. Haha.

K... As usual the Chem lecturer was super high, and the Maths tutor was super slow. And I agree that bio prac was fun! Yay. Mixing lipase, bile salts, oil, NaOH and deionized water together was pretty fun. Haha. Well... It was much better than titration for Chem. Speaking of chem, its like there are 6 sets of homework for that subject alone lah! Wah... I thought large masses of homework would disappear when I stopped taking chinese. Sigh.

Anyways, come support us on Friday! Cheer for me and Guoren or something. We promise awesome music! Yup! See ya guys...

zomm cycling at ubin!!

Hey dar, if you really go cycling at ubin, drop me a line. I may not be an odacian, but damn, i love cycling.

I think RJC is a far nicer place then it was 3 weeks ago.

One more ftw! Not mine though.

Pulau Ubin
-Judith Huang

it cannot be denied
that the fields and forests
have their minds -
after all, morning dew
does mix with earth,
and they are fields of rain.

and the hens and cockerels,
they have to defecate somewhere.

it is also true that
such simple happiness here
is often found in thatched houses
(that burn easily),
down algae-choked wells,
and could well be boxed up and kept
in cement villages, complete with running water

besides, the sands you step on
are blackened with industrial oil and ugly mangrove,
the shards of glass make them dangerous,
they chip wounds away,
meld blood too close

imported sand would do better,
it is silken, white,
the way this sand could never be

yes, all this is true. besides,
these sampans are small, and
the salt sea stings its passengers
too freely.....

Today, Pulau Ubin will be given a “facelift”.
They will mould her into something
prettier, remove the mud fromher sand

Today, I return to the mainland,
leaving two small mounds of sand
on the concrete pavement

Beautifully written, don't you think?

Blogger hates me.

Twice I tried to blog and twice I lost all the stuff I wrote. Blogger hates me. I'm hoping 3rd time is a charm...

Anyways...

Okay weird thought of the moment. I realised that this blog has more posts in 10 days then my blog has had in 3 years. That makes me enormously depressed...

I am self contradictory. I just realised that... You have NO idea how bored I am... and neither do you have any idea how bloody tired I am... I think I am suffering from an attack of wangst, which is essentially angst with a touch of wang to it...

today is going to be a terrible day. I just know it.

Wooo hoo! Awesome day... Long but awesome. Hope you guys had a wonderful day as well. I know me and Guoren did!

Well, the day started off pretty much like any other day would... And thanks Darren for letting us put our guitars in the council room! Afraid we won't be able to join you guys at the X'PEIA table on Monday though, our band's meeting for prayer... Bloody knuckles sounds like an interesting game. Lets try it some time. Hahaha. Maybe not.

Went for my second PE lesson after that, and I must say, RJ PE is NOTHING like RI PE. RI PE is so slack, but RJ PE really helps you build your stamina and muscles. I'm quite glad that the PE here is so much more intensive than in secondary school. Now my abs, bi/tri-ceps and hamstrings are kinda sore, but nothing beats the awesome feeling you get when you successfully survive the lesson! Haha. Especially after running 4 rounds, doing 30 push ups, 30 inverse push ups, 40 sit ups and 20 crunches. Yeah!

I think Lagman from Econs is the best lecturer of the lot we have now, and you guys should agree. Especially after he let us listen to the Hokkien song today. Haha. I think he puts concepts forward in a very memorable way, and his jokes are those lame + dry kind that will make you laugh because the jokes are really really very lame. Kudos to him!

After school went to help Guoren collect his effects pedal from his house and saw his sister again. So cute! Haha. Well, he forgot to bring the pedal to school, and we needed it for Raffles Rock auditions. So ended up going to his house in the hot sun, and when I reached his mom was quite surprised. When I told her I came for the pedal that Guoren forgot, his mom said: "That boy arh..." It was quite funny the way she said it. Haha. Anyways, Guoren, you'd better treat me to lunch next week or something.

Waited for awhile, and we went for Raffles Rock auditions! Wah. Actually there weren't many people there which was quite sad. But we met band-age, the band from RGS that won talentime! I know the lead singer + guitarist of the band, so I got to know the drummer and bassist. It was quite intimidating playing before a well known RG band, but I think we did well for auditions! Me and Guoren were quite high after that. Haha. Hope we get to join, and we can improve the standard of Raffles Rock! Yeah!

So that was our awesome day! Yeah. So before I finish... Have a Nice Day! Yeah... See ya guys!

Wah... Ok Darren, this is gonna make you real happy... I, Benjamin Low, member of X'PEIA, hereby solemly promise to BLOG on xpeia.blogspot.com one day after every single time I BLOG on my own BLOG. All this I promise in the name of GOT SOX. K. Now that thats done...

Hmmm... I notice the recent trend in our OG in the mornings is to mug and do our chem/maths tutorials. The problem is, I don't have anything to do while everyone else is doing something. Hmmm... Which brings me to the first thing that I wanna talk about. Mugging. Basically there are many kinds of mugging. My style of mugging is the chiong early style. That means that once I get a piece of work, I go home, complete it as fast as possible, and then relax. Haha well. So if you need something to copy, ask me. Haha. Just can't guarantee that the answers are correct. You guys should try the chiong early style sometime. Its quite interesting. Haha.

Ok. Next thing. I need some help with piano. My grade 8 practical is in July, and I haven't completed anything much. My first piece is half done, I haven't put R.H nd L.H together for the second piece, and I haven't got my third piece yet. My sight reading is ok, the only perfect scales I can do are dim. 7th, and I have no idea what to expect for Aural. Wah. Can someone give me some advice on what to expect and how to practice for the exam? Thanks.

Uh... Final thing. Me and Guoren's band are auditioning for Raffles Rock! And hopefully we can help increase the popularity and status of the CCA, as well as get ourselves known more extensively in RJ. Hope you guys can come down and support us when we perform in future! If we get to perform in a gig we'll tell you guys k?

Oh yeah. If you wanna get stuff from the council room (Like badminton rackets) how do you borrow? Do we have to ask council members, or is there a loaning system?

See ya guys tomorrow!

Heya guys! I'm at Guoren's house now using his com, and everyone's having fun outside... Third time at his house, surprised not to see his brother around, hoping to play soccer and rugby with him or something.

They're all crowding around the table looking at each other playing bridge... I played a bit just now, but well, let Nicolette (Bei Fen) play. Guoren's sister is so cute! She went around giving Barbie stickers to all the girls. OG outing at Guoren's house! Lets go some other time as well. His mom's real nice, and his house is nearest to school.

Well... We'll be going for freaky friday later! Can't wait for that. But hoping that I won't make a fool of myself when I suddenly laugh out loud during the horror movie. Haha!

From all of us at Guoren's house... See ya later!

Heya guys! Well, today was pretty normal, and we finally got a taste of what lectures are like. Tried to do the tutorials, but... Well... I'm finding it a bit tough. But I'll manage! Hmmm... Oh yeah, remember to take those passport sized photos... I've taken mine already!

Wondering what we could do with all the free time tomorrow. I'm bringing cards, so bridge fans can play. Maybe I'll get Guoren to bring his guitar or something. Suggestions on what to do tomorrow besides lunch and the stuff already listed please. Then we can discuss tomorrow.

Oh... Wait! I probably wouldn't be seeing you guys in the morning tomorrow, going for prayer meeting with other RJ christians! If you guys wanna join its Block A rectangle tables, first floor I think.

Looking forward to freaky friday! I've probably told some of you about this before, but I have a weird habit of laughing during scary/gory bits of a movie. I guess its a reflex action when I'm scared or something. I was practically laughing throughout the Exorcism of Emily Rose and Saw 2 (I watched the pirated versions at my grandparent's house). Freaky huh? Haha.

I'm glad that there are so many people who I know in RJ, there are people in my old CCA, in my old class, in my old primary school, in my church, and you guys from X'PEIA! Its like I see a little bit of everyone everyday and I feel real blessed!

K. See you guys tomorrow! 'The Box'! Still clueless on how to open it...

Heya X'PEIA! Wah. Today was crazy I tell you. I never expected there to be a chem quiz on the first day. For people who haven't went for the first lecture yet, here's a warning... I can't remember the questions though... Sorry!

Had a 4 hour break in between. Saw lots of people! Like Ann, Yi Hui, Amanda, Yong Sheng! But spent most of the time in the library reading Sean Covey's 7 effective habits of teens. Not bad... Heard about the outing from Amanda! Thought I couldn't go, but... Yay! The ice skating's starting at 12 so I have time to go down for piano, which is at 2:30pm!

Went for RJGE meeting. Good to see my RIGE friends there and the instructor I know so well. They were playing the Doraemon Song! Haha. Seriously funny. But I'll probably be playing that if I join. Haha.

Well, JE's my turf. Thats where I've studied for half my life, that's where my old house was, and thats where I visit my grandparent's house every weekend. I've went for movies there, I've went to the library, I've eaten near there etc etc... Haha. Too bad I can only follow till 2pm.

Well... Looking forward to tomorrow! =)

Hey X'PEIA! Hmmm... Nice seeing everyone post here. Lets continue posting! Really enjoyed The time we all spent together, looking forward to more outings! More pool please? Haha.

Well, first things first... Kudos to all the OGLs and the organising commitee for coming up with such an awesome orientation programme for all of us. Appreciate it. Thanks Charles and Nina! FYI, Charles was the Chairman of RI Guitar Ensemble when I was Sec3. Kinda interesting seeing him leading everyone. Haha. Thanks to our awesome OGLs Darren and Charlene. Thanks for the notes and stuff... You guys rock! You guys helped us so much.

Hmmm... What should I say next? Hmmm. You guys can visit my BLOG (soccermugger.blogspot.com) for more thoughts about Z'Kardia, the various outings, the games etc. If you guys are interested in learning more about my/Guoren's band, Eden-Sol, you guys can go to eden-sol.blogspot.com for more info. (Though that BLOG's quite dead now, hope this one doesn't end like that) I'll be revamping that BLOG soon...

K. Looking forward to meeting on Monday. Wonder if everyone will be in the LT listening to the same lecture at 8, maybe we could check each other's time tables? I'm having Econs Lecture in LT2 at 8. Hope to see at least some people there...

Going to update the links and get the tag-board now. Uh wait. I'll update my BLOG first. See ya guys soon! =)
